Imagine: It's January, and instead of bundling up against the frigid air – or stomping away on a treadmill in your basement – you're enjoying the warmth of the sun while running, swimming, and riding with top Triathletes/Olympians Jarrod Shoemaker, Sarah Haskins and Sara McLarty.
This isn't a fantasy; it's real, at the OptumHealth Performance Training Camp, January 21-29 at the National Training Center in Clermont, Florida. The camp is a unique opportunity for triathletes of all levels to get a quick start toward achieving their 2012 training goals.
There are two training camp options: five or nine days. The Clermont Camp covers all aspects of training, including baseline testing for all three disciplines, clinics for swimming, cycling, running, and transitions, planning your season, the mental game, rest and recovery, strength training, and more. Several of the clinics will be conducted by Shoemaker, Haskins and McLarty; other clinics will be led by the OptumHealth Performance coaching staff.
The facilities at the National Training Center are first rate, with a 400-meter synthetic track and an outdoor, 70 meter, heated pool. You will have access to the facilities for your entire stay, even when not participating in a planned event. Also included is dinner with the triathletes/Olympians, as well as a training shirt, transition bag, two 60-minute massage sessions and even free bike adjustments (parts are extra).
Four packages are available, depending on the camp length you choose and whether transportation and accommodations are included. Space is extremely limited, so register now.
